Our Story
Reaching 50th milestone is a landmark in the history of any organization. Having inspiration from India’s first Prime Minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, our trust was formally inaugurated by Vice President of India, Dr. Zakir Hussain, in 1966. Since then the Organization has come a long way in promoting India’s relations with other countries, at people to people level, thus building bridges of friendship to span the chasm of differences between nations.
Based on the old Indian wisdom of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, we as an NGO, has achieved several feats in an absolutely congenial environment where hues and shades of different social groups, languages, customs and cultures mix and mingle, forming a colourful collage that transcends all boundaries.

Inauguration
Inaugurated in 1970 by our beloved Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Expansion
UIF became a Globally recognized Trust with bilateral relations with countries like Russia, Africa, Uzbekistan, and many more.
